Dresden was full at that time of people who could be mobilised to fight the allies.

Nazi Germany was responsible for the murder of over 6 million Catholics, Muslims, Jews, Poles, Russians and so on. Nazi Germany had to be stopped by whatever means necessary.

It was Germany’s decision to wage war.
