| April 1, 2009The International Solidarity For Human Rights reported that Israeli soldiers killed 17 Palestinians, including three children and one woman, in March, and kidnapped more than 280 residents.
The society said that 14 Palestinians were killed in March in the Gaza Strip, including a number of residents who died during the Israeli offensive against the Gaza Strip. Some of the slain residents were killed in extrajudicial assassinations carried out by the army. Three more residents were killed during Israeli military attacks in the Gaza Strip. Also, soldiers kidnapped 280 Palestinians in March, including a number of ministers and legislators, in addition political leaders of different factions. The army also kidnapped dozens of children and a number of women. The International Solidarity For Human Rights slammed the ongoing Israeli attacks and violations against the Palestinian people, and demanded the international community to intervene and oblige Israel to cease its violations. It also demanded the international community to act against the illegal Israeli decision to punish the detainees by barring their visitation rights and barring them access to education, in addition to several other measures against them. |
