U.S. Court Allows CIA Kidnapping and Torture : Dictatorship

State secret doctrine prohibits judicial review

http://snipurl.com/1c8ip

This tale of horrors is essentially what happened to Khaled El-Masri, a German citizen abducted by operatives of the United States Central Intelligence Agency in Macedonia in 2003. And according to a recent U.S. federal court decision, all of it — the kidnapping, the beating, the forced administration of drugs — is perfectly acceptable.

The United States of Torture. Doesn’t it make you proud of what is being done with your tax dollars and in your name??

Bush Record Of Illegalities Suggests Possible Role In 9/11 WTC, Pentagon Strikes

The trouble with thinking 9/11 was an inside job staged by George W. Bush & Co. is that it defies belief any U.S. president might be capable of such an iniquitous crime against his own people.

Yet, subsequent Bush actions, such as lying the nation into war against Iraq, makes one wonder if the man didn’t create the 9/11 massacres to justify his attacks on Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran.

After all, his record reveals him to be a serial liar, warmonger, tyrant, torturer, and usurper of his peoples’ civil liberties. Just off the top, here are some illegal GWB actions that betray what he is really about.

# Bush lied the U.S. into what former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan called an “illegal” war on Iraq. This conflict has killed 650,000 civilians, wounded over a million more, drove nearly 2-million from their country, and turned life into a living hell for the rest. The death toll there is already equal to about 240 WTC massacres, yet Bush persists in waging the war.

# Bush okayed $1.5-trillion for new weapons’ research including grisly weapons that would thrill mad scientists, such as sound waves that crush a victim’s internal organs. Another gem is “rods from god” to hurl tungsten poles down from Earth orbit down upon its victims at 7,200 miles an hour, striking with the atomic fury. He is illegally militarizing space. These are not the dreams of a humanist.

# Bush has allowed illegal radioactive ammunition fired in Afghanistan and Iraq that poison civilian populations and U.S. troops, as well as cluster bombs. Does this evince concern for human life?

# Bush has made himself master of the greatest spy apparatus the world has ever known at a cost to taxpayers of $50-billion annually. He authorized NSA to spy illegally on Americans, allegedly to catch terrorists. If this was the true reason, why did he also eavesdrop on UN officials?

# Bush authorized CIA agents to go to foreign countries to kidnap “suspects” and dump them in distant prisons to be tortured with no warrants signed to seize them, no charges brought against them, and no lawyers to defend them. In his secret prisons there may be many thousands held illegally, and tortured, while all the time he lies to the world “we don’t torture.” Is this a man with empathy for others?

# Bush is also funding hundreds of biotechnology labs to create deadly strains of exotic killer diseases at a cost to taxpayers of $40-billion. Many operate in secret, illegally violating transparency rules. On Bush’s watch, anthrax germs from a military laboratory in Fort Detrick, Md., were mysteriously unleashed upon two of his political opponents in the U.S. Senate that killed five people and sickened 17 others and temporarily shut down the Congress.

THE LIE OF THE CENTURY

The Downing Street Memo is only the beginning of the proof we were all lied to.

There is nothing new in a government lying to their people to start a war. Indeed because most people prefer living in peace to bloody and horrific death in war, any government that desires to initiate a war usually lies to their people to create the illusion that support for the war is the only possible choice they can make.

It is inescapable historical reality that leaders of nations will lie to their people to trick them into wars they otherwise would have refused. It is not “conspiracy theory” to suggest that leaders of nations lie to trick their people into wars. It is undeniable fact.

This brings us to the present case.

Did the government of the United States lie to the American people, more to the point, did President Bush and his Neocon associates lie to Congress, to initiate a war of conquest in Iraq?

This question has been given currency by a memo leaked from inside the British Government which clearly indicates a decision to go to war followed by the “fixing” of information around that policy. This is, as they say, a smoking gun.

9/11 : Who Told Giuliani the WTC was Going to Collapse on 9/11?

In the following 9/11 ABC News live interview Giuliani (New York’s Mayor) states he was warned of the collapses:
“I went down to the scene and we set up headquarters at 75 Barkley Street, which was right there with the Police Commissioner, the Fire Commissioner, the Head of Emergency Management, and we were operating out of there when we were told that the World Trade Center was going to collapse. And it did collapse before we could actually get out of the building, so we were trapped in the building for 10, 15 minutes, and finally found an exit and got out, walked north, and took a lot of people with us.”

No steel framed building had collapsed through fire prior to 9/11, so how was it known that the World Trade Center was going to collapse? There was no factual or historical basis for this prediction.

When a Leader Missteps, a World Can Go Astray

Mr. Brzezinski’s verdict on the current president’s record “catastrophic,” he calls it is nothing short of devastating. And his overall assessment of America’s current plight is worrying as well: – Fifteen years after its coronation as global leader, America is becoming a fearful and lonely democracy in a politically antagonistic world.”

Poison DUst

A Must Watch Video :
Poison DUst tells the story of young soldiers who thought they came home safely from the war, but didn’t. Of a veteran’s young daughter whose birth defect is strikingly similar to birth defects suffered by many Iraqi children. – Every American who cares about our troops should watch this film. Everyone who cares about the innocent civilians who live in the countries where these weapons are used should watch this film.

Report Suppressed: Iran Gassed Kurds, Not Iraq

US Army War College (USAWC) undertook a study of the use of chemical weapons by Iran and Iraq in order to better understand battlefield chemical warfare. They concluded that it was Iran and not Iraq that killed the Kurds.

FLASHBACK: Saddam never gassed his own people

A Stephen C. Pelletiere commentary appeared in the January 31, 2003 New York Times, yet no one seems to have noticed. Here is part of what he wrote about frequent statements that Saddam Hussein gassed 5000 Kurds at Halabja in 1988:
The story gets murkier: immediately after the battle the United States Defense Intelligence Agency investigated and produced a classified report, which it circulated within the intelligence community on a need-to-know basis. That study asserted that it was Iranian gas that killed the Kurds, not Iraqi gas.

The agency did find that each side used gas against the other in the battle around Halabja. The condition of the dead Kurds’ bodies, however, indicated they had been killed with a blood agent — that is, a cyanide-based gas — which Iran was known to use. The Iraqis, who are thought to have used mustard gas in the battle, are not known to have possessed blood agents at the time.

These facts have long been in the public domain but, extraordinarily, as often as the Halabja affair is cited, they are rarely mentioned. A much-discussed article in The New Yorker last March did not make reference to the Defense Intelligence Agency report or consider that Iranian gas might have killed the Kurds. On the rare occasions the report is brought up, there is usually speculation, with no proof, that it was skewed out of American political favoritism toward Iraq in its war against Iran.

Ex CIA Analyst: Saddam Did Not Gas The Kurds ! Video

SADDAM HUSSEIN DID NOT GAS THE KURDS. . . Nor did Iraqi soldiers pull babies out of incubators in Kuwait, as the Zionist-controlled media proclaimed in order to promote the first Gulf War. That was later exposed and admitted to be a story cooked up by the ad agency hired to arouse American’s support for a war thousands of miles from our borders with a country which leader never made a threat against America. They just wanted U.S. soldiers to “go get that evil mad-man” and if a few hundred thousand innocent Iraqi’s die in the process. . . so what?

FLASHBACK: What Happened in Kurdish Halabja?

The truth of what happened in Halabja had always been hidden from the public, and many who knew exactly what happened in this Kurdish village in the second half of March 1988 disputed the western media coverage of the story. It is a fact that key Kurdish leaders aided by the CIA and the Israeli Mossad have used a wide network of public relations companies and media outlets in the west to manipulate and twist the truth of what happened in Kurdish Halabja in 1988 in favour of the Kurdish political parties.

Pelletiere’s report also said that international relief organisations that examined the Kurdish refugees in Turkey failed to discover any gassing victims. After 15 years of support to the allegations of HRW, the CIA finally admitted in its report published in October 2003 that only mustard gas and a nerve agent was used by Iraq. The CIA now seems to be fully supporting the US Army War College report of April 1990, as a cyanide-based blood agent that Iraq never had, and not mustard gas or a nerve agent, killed the Kurds who died at Halabja and which concludes that the Iranians perpetrated that attack as a media war tactic.

FLASHBACK: What Happened at Halabja?

First of all, remember the Iran/Iraq war began at the end of 1980. By March 16, 1988, several hundred thousand soldiers had died in the conflict. Iran, with 60 million people, was supposed to be able to defeat Iraq, with 20 million. But Saddam Hussein proved to be superior to the Ayatollah Khomeni in organizing resources. Historians now agree that by the end of 1987, the advantage had shifted to Iraq. The Iranians had in desperation thrown “human waves” of soldiers against Iraq, and Iraq had used mustard gas to turn that tide. They have acknowledged this use. In early 1988, Iraq was using Scud missiles to hit Teheran, and the Iranian government was reeling.

From day one, the Iraqi government insisted it had nothing to do with any poison gas being used on its own nationals, not even accidentally in attacks on the Iranian adversaries. The defense ministry said it would be ridiculous for them to use poison gas in the town when their forces were going in the direction of the Iranian retreat. The Army War College did conduct an inquiry soon thereafter and in April 1990 concluded that both Iran and Iraq had used gas in their warring exchanges, but that the horrible deaths at Halabja were almost certainly the result of gas in the Iranian inventory, gas not available to the Iraqis. You must admit, David, that Jeffrey Goldberg never even mentioned this report. The War College report had been widely reported in April 1990 and the principal author, Dr. Stephen Pelletiere, to this day insists that if there were citizens killed by Iraqi gas at Halabja, it was collateral in the Iraqi engagement with the Iranian army. His report says Iraq used gas, but he says he got this from the Defense Intelligence Administration and it may or may not be true.

Maliki furious his torturers exposed – Iraqi PM condemns ‘illegal’ raid

Iraq’s prime minister has called for an investigation into Sunday’s raid by Iraqi and British forces in Basra on an intelligence agency detention centre.

Nouri Maliki issued a statement calling for those behind the “illegal and irresponsible act” to be punished.

The British military said the raid was part of an operation led by Iraqi counter-terrorist forces who were seeking a “known death squad leader”.

It said evidence of torture had been found at the southern Iraqi facility.

OPERATION ROPE-A-BUSH

The Operation Rope-a-Bush strategy is not new. Many armies from antiquity allowed their opponents access to their cities, only to surround them. The U.S. troops are now surrounded and are having difficulty in receiving supplies because many of the normal supply routes are in the hands of the resistance.

Unless the U.S. pulls out of Iraq, there will be years of fighting ahead between the occupiers and the resistance. A few months ago, a British expert on weapons and resistance movements studied the situation in Iraq. His conclusion was that if the fighting remains at the current level (100 to 150 attacks a day), the Iraqi resistance has enough weaponry for 284 years. There is no merit in thinking the resistance will run out of firepower.

Jihad.com

Interesting video from Sunday March 4, 2007 60 minutes piece. At 4:10 in video Erin Weissburg who quit his job as a programmer to attack extremists web sites. He cooperates with FBI, Homeland Security & British Police. His funding source is not identified.

At 7:07 Rita Katz, at a secret location in the U.S. talks about monitoring Jihadist web sites. Her funding source is never mentioned. Her level of data/web knowledge appears to be non-existent and at one point she states that over 17,000 members are online at a Jihadist web page. When asked how she knows that this is the number of users logged in she claims that this is information that the server provides.

At 6:20 it is mentioned that an Arkansas Highway Department server was hijacked and used by jihadists.

What is interesting is the Fox like non questioning and lack any sense of incredulity when obviously sweeping statements of questionable veracity are made by the subjects.
