Challenge for Atheists

Can you answer the following questions:

1. If this universe happened by a coincidence or by chance, how can you explain the fact that its expanding by only using modern technology to find that out while its written in the Quran about 1420 years ago?

2. How was life began when nothing existed?

3. When people die, where do they go?

4. If somebody prays for God and does what God said, do they go to heaven? why?

5. If you die as an atheist, do you go to heaven? why?

6. Can you prove that God does not exist? How?

7. If religion has the answers to these questions, does that infer that there is a God?

8. If atheists believe in evolution, then why we do not have the same DNA coding as apes? Darwin himself stated that he didnt have proof for his theory to be accurate.

9. If the holy scriptures give scientific facts that were only confirmed by modern technology, does it mean that religion is true?

10. If an atheist strongly believe that everything happened by a chance and not a miracle then they can do this experiment to test their faith. Get 10 marbles and place it in a bag, then with your eyes closed…take out the marbles from 1 to 10, in that order. It is impossible for somebody to take it out from 1 to 10 so that implies that it is impossible that this world was an chance or a coincidence, right?

Peace 🙂

A funny list of dumb laws in the United States : Georgia

• Acworth: All citizens must own a rake.
• An old law in Columbus, Ga., made it illegal to sit on your porch in an indecent position.
• A Kennesaw, Ga. law makes it illegal for every homeowner not to own a gun, unless you are a convicted felon, conscientious objector or disabled.
• Against the law to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole or street lamp.
• Atlanta: Against the law to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole or street lamp; One man may not be on another man’s back.
• Columbus: Can’t cut off a chicken’s head on Sunday; It is illegal to carry a chicken by it’s feet down Broadway on Sunday.
• Donkeys may not be kept in bathtubs.
• Gainesville: Chicken must be eaten with the hands.
• Georgia has 75 laws on how to build rice paddies, even though the state has only one rice farm left. Rice was the state’s No. 1 crop before the Civil War. But right after the war, a hurricane destroyed all the paddies and ponds. It was too expensive to replace them without slaves, so the Rice State began growing peaches, peanuts and other crops.
• Georgia officials were revising their state laws in 1981, and noticed they still allowed pensions for Confederate widows. That week the last widow died. Lawmakers bowed their heads, and deleted the law.
• In Atlanta, Georgia, it is illegal to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole or street lamp.
• In Columbus, Georgia it is illegal to sit on one’s porch in an indecent position.
• In Georgia, movie houses that want to show films on Sunday must reserve one showing a month for religious material.

• It is illegal to say “Oh, Boy” in Jonesboro.
• It is illegal to take a bath of orange peel.
• It is illegal to use profanity in front of a dead body which lies in a funeral home or in a coroners office.
• It used to be against the law in Jonesboro, Ga., to utter the words, “Oh boy.”
• Jonesboro: It is illegal to say “Oh, Boy”
• Kennesaw: Every head of household must possess a firearm of some kind.
• Marietta: Though it is illegal to spit from a car or bus, citizens may spit from a truck.

Taliban control more of Kandahar: analysis

From Wednesday’s Globe and Mail

KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN — More districts of Kandahar are controlled by the Taliban than by the Afghan government, according to a U.S. assessment that casts doubt on Canada’s upbeat view of the war.

A detailed analysis by U.S. security officials shows that foreign troops and their local allies hold sway over the core, highly populated districts of Kandahar, but the zone of government control remains a small part of the vast territory assigned to Canadian responsibility two years ago.

The assessment divides Kandahar’s districts into four categories: contested, Taliban controlled, locally controlled, and government controlled. Only four of 16 districts were classified as government controlled. The Taliban were described as controlling six districts.

The rest are held by local tribes or warlords, or they are battlefields with nobody clearly dominating.

Jewish center bombed in Argentina

Christian Century,  July 27, 1994

What has been described as the heart of the Argentine Jewish community was destroyed July 18 when a massive bomb blast ripped through a building in Buenos Aires. The religious center housed the Delegation of Argentine Israeli Associations, Argentina’s primary Jewish communal leadership group, and the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association, the community’s social service arm. The bombing left at least 37 confirmed dead and 157 injured. Three days after the incident some 60 others were still unaccounted for. Historic archives were also destroyed.

Israel blamed the attack on Islamic extremists aligned with Iran and seeking revenge for a June Israeli attack on a pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia camp in Lebanon that left 50 guerrillas dead. Iran has denied any involvement. Argentine President Carlos Menem said the attack was planned “from abroad and helped by people [in Argentina].” The blast followed by little more than two years a car bomb attack on the Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires that killed 28 and injured more than 200. No arrests have been made in that case, which Israel also blamed on Muslim extremists. While not discounting a possible Middle East link, Argentine Jews and others interviewed suggested an alternative motive for the latest bomb attack. Read the rest of this entry »

The Prosecution of George W Bush: For MURDER

Postby Editor on Wed Jul 16, 2008 1:36 pm

Vincent Bugliosi (the man who prosecuted Charles Manson), believes that George W. Bush should be charged with the murders of over 4,000 American soldiers who have died in Iraq since the American-led invasion of that country because of the strong evidence that Bush launched that invasion under false pretenses. He has recently released a book, The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder, laying out this evidence and outlining what questions he would ask Bush at a potential murder trial.

Federal court: Bush can indefinitely detain civilians

Federal court: Bush can indefinitely detain civilians

RAW STORY

Published: Tuesday July 15, 2008

A federal court has issued two rulings, the New York Times reports: One favoring President Bush’s indefinite detentions of “enemy combatants,” and another granting one of said “enemy combatants” the opportunity to challenge his detention in court.

The court effectively ruled that President Bush has the same right to indefinitely detain a civilian on American soil as he does an enemy soldier on a battlefield.

Ali al-Marri, the only “enemy combatant” to be held in the continental United States, is in military custody in Charleston, South Carolina. He was arrested in Peoria, Illinois on December 12, 2001 on charges of credit card fraud and lying to federal agents before being sent to Charleston in 2003. A 5-4 majority of the United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, said that a sworn statement from an intelligence official as the government’s sole testimony in an earlier proceeding was “inadequate.” The official, Jeffrey N. Rapp, said that al-Marri was an al-Qaeda sleeper agent whose objective in the United States was to “commit mass murder and disrupt the banking system.” Read the rest of this entry »

Dictatorship : Court Backs Bush on Military Detentions

By Adam Liptak

15/07/08 “New York Times” – — President Bush has the legal power to order the indefinite military detentions of civilians captured in the United States, the federal appeals court in Richmond, Va., ruled on Tuesday in a fractured 5-to-4 decision.

But a second, overlapping 5-to-4 majority of the court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, ruled that Ali al-Marri, a citizen of Qatar now in military custody in Charleston, S.C., must be given an additional opportunity to challenge his detention in federal court there. An earlier court proceeding, in which the government had presented only a sworn statement from a defense intelligence official, was inadequate, the second majority ruled.

The decision was a victory for the Bush administration, which had maintained that a 2001 Congressional authorization to use military force after the Sept. 11 attacks granted the president the power to detain people living in the United States.

US Hypocrisy : Little War Criminals Get Punished, Big Ones Don’t

US Hypocrisy : Little War Criminals Get Punished, Big Ones Don’t

By Paul Craig Roberts

16/07/08 “ICH” — – National Public Radio has been spending much news time on Darfur in Western Sudan where a great deal of human suffering and death are occurring. The military conflict has been brought on in part by climate change, according to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Drought is forcing nomads in search of water into areas occupied by other claimants. No doubt the conflict is tribal and racial as well. The entire catastrophe is overseen by a government with few resources other than bullets.

Now an International Criminal Court prosecutor wants to bring charges against Sudan’s president, Omar al-Bashir, for crimes against humanity and war crimes.

I have no sympathy for people who make others suffer. Nevertheless, I wonder at the International Criminal Court’s pick from the assortment of war criminals? Why al-Bashir?

Is it because Sudan is a powerless state, and the International Criminal Court hasn’t the courage to name George W. Bush and Tony Blair as war criminals?
