KAPAN RASULULLAH MUHAMMAD SAW LAHIR?

Ludicrous Terrorist Watch List Now Contains Over 1 Million Names 110309watchlist

Newly released figures show that one million names now make up the government’s terrorist watch list, a dramatic rise of around 32% in the last two years.

Federal data show the rise comes despite the removal of 33,000 entries last year by the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center in an effort to purge the list of outdated information and remove people cleared in investigations, reports USA Today.

The statistics were provided by the screening center and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

In May 2005, less than four years ago, the number of names on the list was 288,000. Since that time it has almost quadrupled, hitting 755,000 in May 2007 and 1 million as of March 2009.

Those flagged on the watch list, established pursuant to the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission, can be blocked from flying, stopped at borders or subjected to other scrutiny.

Tuesday 10 March 2009

Heavily redacted government documents filed in a New York federal court Friday afternoon say the CIA destroyed 12 videotapes that specifically showed two detainees being tortured.

The documents were filed in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union. In December 2007, the ACLU filed a motion to hold the CIA in contempt for its destruction of the tapes in violation of a court order requiring the agency to produce or identify all records requested by the ACLU. That motion is still pending.

On Monday, the Justice Department revealed in court documents that the CIA destroyed 92 interrogation videotapes, which is now the subject of a criminal probe. According to Friday’s court documents, 90 tapes relate to one detainee and two tapes relate to another detainee.

US Drone Strike Kills At Least 14 in Kurram
Four Missiles Hit ‘Residential Building’

Jason Ditz

March 12, 2009

At least 14 people were killed today when four missiles fired from US drones hit a residential building in Barjo, Kurram Agency. Local officials characterized the building as a “militant hideout” and said it had been completely destroyed.

One security official said that those killed were “mainly Afghan Taliban,” and that the facility was run “by local Taliban commander Fazal Saeed and training was underway at the time of the strike.” Militants cordoned off the area and have been retrieving bodies from the rubble. The toll has already risen twice in the past hour, so it is unclear if the 14 is a final count.

It was the second major US attack on the Kurram Agency in less than a month: in mid-February an attack killed 31 people including an alleged commander named Bahram Khan Kochi. The Obama Administration was reported earlier this week to be planning a dramatic escalation of the number and intensity of the US strikes into Pakistan.

Political Council of Iraqi Resistance (PCIR)

Islamic Front of Iraqi Resistance (JAAMI)

Interview with Dr. Abdullah Hafez

This Interview was published in Arabic on 9th March 2009. Here are just some excerpts translated into (bad) English, however, the most important points are:
1.) The Resistance does not participate in the ‘political process’ under Occupation
2.) They reject the Iranian influence
3.) The Government didn’t solve any problems (Millions Refugees, thousand imprisoned, Sectarian Militias…)
4.) They welcome Obama’s withdrawal but question its seriousness
5.) The Iraqi Resistance will be victorious because:
– the last year was not a decline of attacks but a time of review and restructuring
– there are enough weapons stored for years
– they develop new weapons and will announce a new Missle soon (range 25km)
– the Occupation improved it’s techniques (including spies, cameras and remote-controlled aircraft, and this figure represented only) and there is still no support for the Iraqi Resistance from any other country, so if they announce to carry out 50-75 Operations a month in Iraq this is a very good success as they are just one of the Iraqi Resistance factions

Weapons warning: Tony Blair published the WMD dossier in September 2002 which critics believe paved the way for war

Memo that told Blair aides Saddam Hussein posed no imminent threat

Paul Waugh

12.03.09

Intelligence experts explicitly warned Tony Blair‘s aides that Britain was not in “imminent danger of attack” from Saddam Hussein, a confidential memo revealed today.

The row over claims that the Government “spun” its way into war with Iraq is likely to be reignited after the release of the document by the Cabinet Office.

The memo, released after a long-running Freedom of Information battle, shows Mr Blair’s officials knew seven years ago that the threat from Saddam was not immediate.

It’s Genocide. Full Stop.

Bodies of Palestinians are seen at Shifa hospital in Gaza December 27, 2008
March 11, 2009

Stunned and outraged, the world watched as Israeli air and ground forces ushered in the new year by slaughtering defenseless, captive Palestinians in Gaza. From the surprise air attack that caught children on their way home from school, through the repeated targeting of unarmed families, women, children, and United Nations personnel, to the last hours before Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced a unilateral ceasefire so the bloody massacre would not distract from news coverage of the inauguration of U.S. President Barack Obama, the wildly disproportionate violence of the Israeli military campaign revealed the hideous reality of the world’s most heinous crime, genocide.

Hundreds of thousands protested Israel’s attack on Gaza in cities and towns around the world. Many spoke the name of the crime, among them the world’s highest ranking elected official, the President of the 63rd General Assembly of the United Nations, H. E. Father Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann, M.M.

“‘The number of victims in Gaza is increasing by the day … The situation is untenable. It’s genocide,’ d’Escoto said at the U.N. in New York. About 970 Palestinians have been killed and 4,300 injured since Israel began its Gaza offensive on December 27, which it says is to stop Palestinian fighters attacking Israel with rockets,” reported Al-Jazeera on January 14.

The war crimes indictment against Sudanese President Bashir

The war crimes indictment against Sudanese President Bashir

Tom Eley

10 March 2009

On March 4, the International Criminal Court (ICC) handed down an arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, charging him with crimes against humanity and other war crimes. The ostensible basis for the charges is the ongoing conflict in the Sudanese region of Darfur, which, according to the United Nations, has killed as many as 300,000 people and displaced 2.5 million more.

Bashir is the first sitting head of state to be charged by the ICC since it commenced operations in 2002.

While Bashir no doubt shares responsibility for the catastrophe in Darfur, the charges by the ICC cannot be taken as a legitimate exercise in the enforcement of international law. Rather, the indictment is the latest in a series of war crimes procedures against leaders of former colonial nations and lesser capitalist countries who have run afoul of the major Western powers. It exemplifies the use of war crimes prosecutions as an instrument of imperialist policy in regions of strategic importance to the United States and other imperialist powers.

Not since the Nuremburg trials of the defeated German Nazi leaders have figures from a major imperialist power been tried for war crimes. Since the ICC’s founding, all of its war crimes cases have been brought against African military or political figures.
