9/11 Study: ‘highly engineered explosive’ found in WTC rubble

Stephen C. Webster

Published: Saturday April 4, 2009

A team of scientists claim to have unearthed startling data from dust and debris gathered in the days and weeks after the World Trade Center towers collapsed on Sept. 11, 2001.

In a study published by the Open Chemical Physics Journal — a peer-reviewed, scientific publication — Steven E. Jones and Niels Harrit level a stark allegation: that within the dust and rubble of the World Trade Center towers lays evidence of “a highly engineered explosive,” contrary to all federal studies of the collapses.

“We have discovered distinctive red/gray chips in all the samples we have studied of the dust produced by the destruction of the World Trade Center,” reads the paper’s abstract. “One sample was collected by a Manhattan resident about ten minutes after the collapse of the second WTC Tower, two the next day, and a fourth about a week later. The properties of these chips were analyzed using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (XEDS), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).”

Palestinians Are Top Topic in Abbas Visit to Baghdad

BAGHDAD — Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, visited Iraq for the first time since the American invasion in 2003, meeting with Iraqi leaders on Sunday to garner support for the Palestinian leadership and Iraq’s Palestinian community.

The latest in a long line of Arab leaders who have come to Iraq to show encouragement for the Iraqi government, Mr. Abbas met with the president, Jalal Talabani, and the prime minister, Nuri Kamal al-Maliki, in Baghdad. Among the issues they discussed were financial assistance for the Palestinians, preferential prices on crude oil and political support in the Palestinian leadership’s dealings with Israel, said Iraq’s foreign minister, Hoshyar Zebari.

They also discussed the status and resettlement possibilities of the 2,300 Palestinians stranded in two refugee camps on the Iraq-Syria border.

Mr. Zebari said that the Iraqi leaders assured Mr. Abbas that they would support his government in substantial, and not just symbolic, ways.

“Gone are those days when Iraq and other countries used to use the Palestinian issue for political bargaining or score settling,” Mr. Zebari said.

Saddam Hussein awarded special privileges to Palestinians in Iraq, including free homes in middle-class neighborhoods and secure government jobs, to bolster his reputation as a leader of the Arabs and a fighter against Western oppression. But Iraq’s Palestinians, who numbered about 60,000 in 2003, faced bloody reprisals at the hands of Shiite militias after Mr. Hussein’s downfall. Now there are about 11,000 Palestinians in Iraq, most of them in Baghdad’s Baladiyat neighborhood, a majority Shiite area, said Daniel Endres, head of the Iraq office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Spain, Israel and War Crimes

spanish-chronicles-soeren-k.jpg

Spanish National Court Judge Fernando Andreu says he will redouble his probe of seven top Israeli military and government officials for suspected “crimes against humanity.” He made the decision after determining that documents forwarded by the Israeli Embassy in Madrid show that Israel has decided not to prosecute anyone for the targeted assassination of Salah Shehadeh, the commander of the military wing of Hamas, in Gaza City in 2002. Spanish law allows the prosecution of foreigners for such crimes as genocide, crimes against humanity and torture committed anywhere in the world if the suspects will not be tried in their home country.

The case was brought to the Spanish court by the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, which is represented in Spain by Gonzalo Boyé, a Marxist revolutionary who was sentenced to 14 years in prison for collaborating with the Basque terrorist group ETA. A seven-page court document says the initial evidence suggests that the attack in the densely-populated Gaza City, which killed 14 civilians, “should be considered a crime against humanity.” Supporters of the lawsuit say Spain should pursue the suit because it has “universal jurisdiction” in such cases.

Andreu will now probe former Israeli Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, former Air Force Commander Dan Halutz, former head of the National Security Council Giora Eiland, and four other senior officials. Andreu will also seek testimony from Palestinian witnesses. The court will ask Israel to formally notify those named in the complaint so that they can be called by the judge to testify. Should Andreu decide to issue an international arrest warrant for any of the seven Israelis, they could be detained upon arrival in any EU member state.

The truth about Israel

by Alison Weir, guest opinion

Alison Weir

After so many violent injustices, it’s time to rethink

In his op-ed “If there were no Israel” (March 15), Edward Glick asks what the Middle East would look like if Israel had never existed.

Instead of answering this, however, he simply gives his own xenophobic distortion of the region today. Worse still, he doesn’t explore how many of the region’s real woes are attributable to Israel’s violent creation 60 years ago and of its actions since.

This is as though 9/11 attackers had not only destroyed the Twin Towers but had also remained occupying Manhattan, and as though a columnist asked what New York would be like without 9/11 and went on to describe ruins, layers of dust, and traumatized, angry survivors, suggesting that Americans are inherently inferior — sloppy, lazy, neurotic, violent citizens.

Sudan, another war for Israel: Will Nile water go to Israel?

Medical supplies to be sent to Gaza arrive at Khartoum airport, January 2009

North Sinai Pipelines And The Politics Of Scarcity
by Ronald Bleier (rbleier@igc.org)

The vital importance of the Nile to Egypt, the river’s furthest downstream state, is widely accepted and well documented. Throughout recent history Egypt has exerted the greatest degree of control over the Nile both politically and physically. Egypt’s dominance over the Nile is a function of the influence of colonial agreements, the shifting, yet timely alliance and support from global superpowers, and the power of Egypt relative to the instability of the upstream states. As a result, Egypt has been able to make unilateral decisions regarding out-of-basin use of Nile water.

Israel set up Syria

=== News Update ===

Looking back its clear to see how Israel set up Syria to get their troops removed from Lebanon so that Israel could invade. This is another reason to stand against globalization. Now Syria complies with its 1 UN resolution. But Israel ignores nearly 100 of them.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 1559 was created because of an Israeli false flag. It called on Syrian troops to be removed from Lebanon after a vicious car bombing which killed the former prime minister of Lebanon Rafik al-Hariri. This was blamed on Syria, later because of a lack of evidence the blame was shifted to a Palestinian however UN investigations cleared the suspect of being capable of the attack and later it was discovered that Israeli agents were responsible for the attacks. The result was a call by the UN to remove Syria’s troops from Lebanon something Israel desperately wanted. Bush even goofed up admitting this accidentally while having lunch with Tony Blair and speaking into a mic he didn’t know was still on. As soon As Syria was removed from Lebanon Israel attacks Lebanon (and even I predicted on KUCI radio the month before) that Summer thinking that they could win and control and occupy all the land south of the Latani river. The problem was that even without Syrian troops or the Lebanese military, Hezbollah alone was enough to repel the Israeli military which suffered an embarrassing defeat and damaged their PR by killing thousands of civilians and bombing Christian areas of Beirut. All of that story in detail is in the movie Iraq 911 PNAC All Roads lead to Israel.

2 Palestinian children shot by Israeli terrorists (on the day of the Palestinian child)

2 Palestinian children shot by Israeli terrorists (on the day of the Palestinian child)

Marcy Newman, Body on the line

April 5, 2009

today is the day of the palestinian child. a statement from defense of children international is below. as are 3 related news items. palestinian children are especially under attack (read my post from the other day). read below to understand how.

This year, Palestinian Child Day falls amidst an unprecedented rise in violations of Palestinian children’s rights in the occupied territory.

Israel unleashed a 22-day military assault on the Gaza Strip, codenamed Operation Cast Lead, on 27 December 2008, killing more than 330 children, injuring hundreds of others, destroying homes, services and infrastructure, and traumatizing the entire population. This attack took place during the ongoing blockade of Gaza, now entering its 22nd month. Children, who make up 56 per cent of the population of Gaza, bear the brunt of suffering from these actions, and continue to suffer today, while the blockade is continuing.

Prior to Operation Cast Lead, 90 Palestinian children had been killed by the Israeli military over the course of 2008. The overwhelming majority (74) were not involved in hostilities when they were killed. During the same period, nearly 690 children were arrested, including 14 who were placed in administrative detention (without charge or trial). The occupied Palestinian territory remains a violent and unsafe environment in which to grow up, especially for vulnerable children in refugee camps, along the route of the Wall, and in villages situated near Israeli settlements. Last autumn, we reported an alarming increase in the number of physical assaults by settlers on Palestinian children. In the summer of 2008, two boys were killed by the Israeli army while demonstrating against the construction of the Wall near their village in Ni’lin.

As for the internal Palestinian situation, due to the ongoing factional divisions and fighting, children’s rights are being violated at the very hands of those who are supposed to protect them. During 2008, more than 15 children were killed as a result of internal violence, including internal factional fighting and misuse of weapons. This has had a grave impact on children’s sense of safety and security and their ability to cope. Sadly, Palestinian Child Day coincides with the suspension of the Palestinian dialogue on reconciliation in Cairo. On this occasion and on behalf of all Palestinian children, we appeal to political leaders to resume reconciliation talks and work towards national unity as a priority and a basic condition for the fulfillment of the rights of Palestinian children.

Children require special protection. It is imperative that we work to protect the lives and rights of Palestinian children. There is a need to strengthen child rights standards and services and take all necessary measures to ensure the protection and care of children affected by the conflict. There is also a need to develop an environment free from violence and that maximizes children’s potential to learn, grow and develop. We call for the continuous improvement of the fulfillment of Palestinian children’s rights without discrimination, as well as for their development and education in peace and security. Minimizing the impact of the armed conflict on children is everyone’s responsibility.

In light of this, we must redouble our efforts to fulfill our commitment to all Palestinian children by protecting and promoting their rights as enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Palestinian Child Law adopted in 2004. It is not just the responsibility of the Israeli government or the Palestinian Authority, but the responsibility of all of us as individuals to realise the rights of Palestinian children. Let us work together to achieve this goal.

A “SADDAM APOLOGIST”

A “SADDAM APOLOGIST”

Malcom Lagauche

April 4, 2009

On August 22, 2007, Jonathan Schwarz wrote a column for his website, www.tinyrevolution.com, called “Advancing the Debate on My Faith in Saddam Hussein.” In it, he related to a recent dialogue he had with Michael Cohen, a former speechwriter for the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. during the Clinton administration.

Evidently, Cohen had written a few false statements about Iraq and Schwarz pointed out his errors. For instance, Cohen said that Saddam Hussein kicked out U.N. inspectors from Iraq in 1998. Also, he stated that Iraq never publicly admitted it was free of WMD.

From reading Schwarz’ account, he is knowledgeable of these subjects as well as other information concerning the lies about Iraq and Saddam. During the dialogue, Cohen stated, “Why you put so much faith in the words and deeds of Saddam Hussein is beyond me.”

Cohen’s response is identical to those of many who, when confronted with facts, immediately dismiss them because they concern Saddam Hussein. When these people become cornered with reality, they can only rely on the trump card of denigrating Saddam.

One thing about this article stood out: the title. Rarely does a Western scribe admit that Saddam told the truth and the U.S. lied. Logically, with a track record of lies vs. truth, Saddam should come out on top in the information war. But, it is so simple that people do not want to believe the truth.

Media of Iraqi Resistance is the Second Pit

Written by Administrator

Friday, 03 April 2009 22:07

Americans put themselves in a rather critical pit when they have decided blocking the media of the resistance in Iraq and imposing firm restrictions on Iraqi, Arabian and International press. Furthermore, they sneak to all websites belong to Iraqi resistance and shut them off. The objective of American political, as well as, military administration is to hide the voice of Iraqi resistance. Both had thought that these actions leave the space to their media and for that matter the public weather here in Iraq or on the international front will be receiving information from western or American media. Accordingly, the real situation will never be told and all the facts on the ground will be manipulated to serve the American administration.

We believe that policy of fear and torture against the media and blocking the free media of telling the truth, fired back against the American administration for the following reasons:

1.     Because of blocking policy and continues and sever monitoring, intellectuals, writers, educated individuals and communities looked in different available sources for the resistance news. Obtaining just a piece of information is considered as a big win and for that it will be circulated among them inside America and abroad.

2.     After the first and second year of war in Iraq news issued by resistance group meet fairly large acceptance by the general public. Credibility of news announced by the resistance is considerably increased over the past two years. That is because of the accumulation of loses and heavy casualties, and not to mention, the everyday stories about the psychological and mental diseases American solders sustain. American people watched and saw all these and release that they have been misinformed as far as war situation in Iraq concern.

3.     Restrictions and close monitoring and pressure exerted on the international media lead the media personal to search in different means enabling them to reach the public. They also have used audio and video tools to make their news available for everybody. This is why thousands of videotaped operations released lately.

4.     Arabic and general public showed high interest to obtain CD’s containing resistance operation.  Confidential reports are also widely distributed among people. Interested people are also following resistance news on available on website on the internet. They see there what they have not seen on the TV Channels, that give news issued by resistance media high creditability.

5.     The Americans are in fact pretend themselves as victorious and they want to write the history as if they are the winners. But the need of media and information by resistance and the confidence of resistance group of their ability to win the battle against have made them to daily report of their activities. These reports are real treasure for unveil the American lose in Iraq.
