Article 13.2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states…
“Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.”
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a declaration adopted by the United Nations General Assembly and all member states of the United Nations are bound by it. Israel, of course, is in violation of Article 13.2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights both in their refusal to allow Gazans to leave Gaza and in refusing Palestinians a right of return to their homes, which was also a condition for Israel’s admission to the United Nations.
Now, of course, Greece stands in violation of Article 13.2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which means it too is defying the United Nations. Ban Ki Moon is bound by his office to enforce the recognized right of the aid flotilla to freely exit the Greek ports. Indeed, as a member state of the United Nations, the United States is legally bound to send the US Navy to escort those ships into international waters and to fire on and sink any privateers attempting to interfere. In failing to do so, and in bringing pressure to bear on Greece to prohibit the free travel of the flotilla, the United States is also in violation of Article 13.2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in defiance of the United Nations.
The USA, Israel, and Greece are all in violation of international law. It is time for a boycott in protest of these criminal violations of international law. The USA is still too large to be affected by a boycott. Israel has been under boycott for a long time now (except the USA where boycotting Israel is illegal) yet remains obdurate. But the weak point is Greece. Their economy hovers at the edge of IMF-induced collapse. A boycott directed against Greek products, Greek investments, and Greek tourism could well pull down the Greek economy and the government of Greece as well. And because of the globalist interlinking, Greece’s collapse will likely bring down the Euro and shatter the Eurozone. That is a great deal to risk merely to please Israel, don’t you think?
Amongst the hate-mail I continue to receive on this suggestion, there is the plea that a boycott will hurt the people of Greece, yet my reply remains, would the Greek people hurt any less if we abandon them to the imposed poverty of “Austerity?” I rather doubt it. Boycott or no, the crushing of the Greek people at the hands of their own government is well underway.
Consider this; In the midst of Greece’s problems, the Greek government of Papandreou took time away from caring for his own people to become Israel’s privateers, intercepting American and now Canadian shipping on behalf of Israel. This is open piracy, or at the most generous, privateering on behalf of Israel, because
none of Greece’s actions are legal under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Israel is a criminal state.
The United States is a criminal state.
Greece is a criminal state.
Today is the day we commemorate fighting a war on the principle that even Kings must bow to the laws of men. We therefore cannot and must not suffer criminal governments, or we lightly discard that which the Founding Fathers paid so dearly for.
Greece is the weak point in the tyrant’s global fortifications. Boycott Greece. Make the price of violating international law cost more than the thirty pieces of silver Papandreou received as a privateer.
