The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has accused Israel of regularly violating Security Council resolutions, Press TV has learnt.

Milos Strugar, UNIFIL’s political director, said on Friday that the Israeli army violates Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity on an almost daily basis which is against the UNSC Resolution 1701.

UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which brokered a ceasefire in the war Israel launched against Lebanon in 2006, calls on Tel Aviv to respect Beirut’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

SIXTY-FOUR years after it happened, the Dutch state has been found liable for the deaths of 431 men and boys in a massacre in the Javanese village of Rawagede in 1947 – during a notorious “police action” by colonial troops following Indonesia’s declaration of independence two years earlier.

The long-awaited and deeply embarrassing ruling by a court in The Hague comes just months after the Netherlands was also found liable to pay compensation to relatives of some victims of the Srebrenica massacre in 1995 because Dutch UN peacekeepers failed to protect them.

The Rawagede decision opens the way for similar claims in relation to hundreds of other “actions” by the Dutch before they recognised Indonesian independence in 1949 – particularly thousands of executions ordered by Special Forces captain Raymond Westerling, known as The Turk, during a counter-insurgency campaign in 1946 and 1947.

FBI Teaches Agents: ‘Mainstream’ Muslims Are ‘Violent, Radical’

September 15, 2011 “Wired” – -The FBI is teaching its counterterrorism agents that “main stream” [sic] American Muslims are likely to be terrorist sympathizers; that the Prophet Mohammed was a “cult leader”; and that the Islamic practice of giving charity is no more than a “funding mechanism for combat.”

At the Bureau’s training ground in Quantico, Virginia, agents are shown a chart contending that the more “devout” a Muslim, the more likely he is to be “violent.” Those destructive tendencies cannot be reversed, an FBI instructional presentation adds: “Any war against non-believers is justified” under Muslim law; a “moderating process cannot happen if the Koran continues to be regarded as the unalterable word of Allah.”

These are excerpts from dozens of pages of recent FBI training material on Islam that Danger Room has acquired. In them, the Constitutionally protected religious faith of millions of Americans is portrayed as an indicator of terrorist activity.

“There may not be a ‘radical’ threat as much as it is simply a normal assertion of the orthodox ideology,” one FBI presentation notes. “The strategic themes animating these Islamic values are not fringe; they are main stream.”

The FBI isn’t just treading on thin legal ice by portraying ordinary, observant Americans as terrorists-in-waiting, former counterterrorism agents say. It’s also playing into al-Qaida’s hands.

To be charged with questioning these foundations is far more serious than being labeled a disgruntled conspiracy nut or anti-government traitor, or even being sidelined or marginalized within an academic, government service, or literary career. To question the official 9/11 story is simply and fundamentally revolutionary. In this way, of course, questioning the official story is also simply and fundamentally American.

A majority of people polled for the BBC World Service across 27 countries believe Israel and Iran have a mainly negative influence in the world with almost as many saying the same about North Korea and the United States.

Respondents were asked to rate 12 countries – Britain, Canada, China, France, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, North Korea, Russia, the USA, Venezuela – and the European Union, as having a positive or negative influence.

Canada, Japan, the European Union, and France were judged most positively. Britain, China, and India received more positive than negative evaluations while Russia was viewed slightly more negatively than positively. Opinions about Venezuela were evenly divided.

Rudi Dekkers, the owner of Huffman Aviation, the flight school where alleged 9/11 hijackers Mohamed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi trained at, dropped some bombshell revelations on the September 11, 2011 episode of Erskine Overnight, in speaking about his new book, Guilty by Association.

He said he never saw Atta and al-Shehhi ever pray when they were at his flight school, and that the voice purported to be Atta’s from the alleged cockpit voice recorder didn’t sound at all like Atta’s to him.

He also said that Atta was a mediocre student and was warned six weeks into his training that he would be kicked out unless he shaped up. Ultimately, upon graduation, Atta and al-Shehhi were only qualified to fly a small plane with a few seats, and not a Boeing 767 jumbo jet, as he and al-Shehhi are alleged to have flown so skillfully into the World Trade towers.

Meanwhile, in Toronto, Canada, at Ryerson University the four-day International Hearings on the Events of September 11, 2001, came to a close at 5pm.

During the four days of hearings, distinguished scientists and scholars and professional architects and engineers presented the results of years of their independent research into all aspects of 9/11 to a distinguished panel consisting of the honorary president of the Italian Supreme Court who was an investigative judge who presided over terrorism cases and three distinguished scholars of high renown and judgment. The distinguished panel’s task is to produce a report with their judgment of the evidence presented by the expert witnesses.
